Marilyn Carole Bozo Steinwand, age 81, passed away on November 12, 2021, in Naples, FL. Marilyn was born to Louis Bozo and Irene Ola on August 1, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio and had one brother, Richard (Patricia). Some accomplishments in her teens include being a beauty pageant winner, a majorette in high school, and named Miss Tri Delt. At the age of 17, while attending an Elvis concert, she was selected as one of the few attendees to meet the King in-person afterwards. Elvis even gave her a kiss. While attending the University of Toledo, Marilyn met John Steinwand, and the two married on October 8, 1960. She became a stay-at-home mom for her children, sacrificing an independent life of her own for the sake of her family. In 1972, John left an advertising career in Ohio to move to Naples to start a real estate career and manage a country club. Marilyn then had to not only care for her children but also her husband when he had a brain tumor at the age of 39. Marilyn was there with him continually, helping him through this crisis. In 2001, a grandson was born, and she loved him dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Jeffrey. She is survived by her brother, son Kurt (Yvonne), and grandson Dylan.
