1. Pre-planning your final arrangements relieves your loved ones of having to make all of the decisions at the time of your passing.

When a person passes away, there are over 80 decisions that need to be made with respect to service providers, disposition, service preferences, finances, etc.  By making these decisions ahead of time in a calm atmosphere, you can be assured that your loved ones are not burdened with these decisions while grieving.

2. Signaling your intent ensures that your wishes are followed to the letter and the information you provide is accurate.

When someone passes away, it can be difficult for families to provide the necessary information for official documents.  Pre-planning allows you to provide that information ahead of time, thus ensuring accuracy on important documents and relieving your family of having to locate that information.  You’ll be able to sign your own cremation authorization form, select urn(s) and other merchandise, and design your memorial package. You can also provide information for your obituary and the newspapers in which you would like the notice to be published.

This is the  most important  advantage to pre-planning.  Pre-planning allows you to lock in the prices for our services and merchandise. It’s important to note that this does not apply to items like death certificates, mailing charges, and other services for which other entities set the price.  When the time of your passing comes, your family will not be charged additional for the cremation itself or any merchandise that you have selected ahead of time.

We plan for graduations, weddings, births, retirement…why not plan for death as well?  By pre-planning your cremation, all funds will be held in-trust until the time of need; and your personal information will be secure with The Beachwood Society.  We provide copies of your pre-need contract for your records and encourage you to inform your loved ones of your plans and the location of the paperwork.
