Beware of Scammers

SCAM Alert!!!

As hard as it is to believe, scammers have begun to take advantage of the bereaved.  Funeral and cremation providers around the country have reported that some of their families have received phone calls from individuals pretending to represent the funeral home handling their loved one’s arrangements.

The origin of this scam is unknown; but the result is the same:

These scammers tell families that they still have an outstanding balance on the contract and attempt to “recover” that balance during the call.

Please Do Not give out your credit card information without first consulting your paperwork, receipts and other materials provided by Beachwood.  Your copy of the contract will always state whether the account is paid in-full and what the remaining balance is, if any.

If you are at all leery about a phone call purporting to be from Beachwood, please hang up and call our main number at 239-261-1767 and speak directly with our staff.
